Hand Painted Martini Glass Continued...

The kids were very excited about having an Easter party. We didn’t want to interfere with anyone’s church and family obligations, so we picked to have our party on the Saturday before Easter. The kids came over and we hunted plastic eggs before they made a hand painted martini glass for each adult guest coming to the party.

My daughter and her friends made fruit kabobs for their snack. I enjoyed watching how they painted each hand painted martini glass different. Some of the children just made pastel designs. They all came out so pretty.

I made deviled eggs for the adults at the party. I always get compliments about my eggs. I wanted a really unusual martini for the party that had a great presentation. The kids did such a good job on each hand painted martini glass.

The first thing I had to do to make the "I Don't Caramel, Just Get Me a Martini" martini was to make Carmel. I made the Carmel and set it aside while I shook my Absolut Vanil vodka with ice and a split vanilla bean. I dipped a fork into the Carmel and drizzled a bit into each hand painted martini glass. Everyone loved the drinks.

Getting ready for our summer party was a lot of fun. I found two crafts for the kids to do for their craft party. The kids used acrylic paint to decorate a hand painted martini glass for each adult. Most of the kids painted blue waves.

In addition to making a hand painted martini glass for each adult, the kids helped make a giant fruit salad. I cut the watermelon into a basket with a handle and then the kids scooped out the melon with a melon baller. They also used the melon baller on a couple of cantaloupe. I had some good grapes and strawberries for the salad as well.

I had decided that I wanted an aquatic themed martini for our summer party. I chose the Scuba-Tini oceanic martini. This martini called for Blavod black vodka, Blue Curacao and lemon juice. After the kids were done with the hand painted martini glass craft, I put all of the glasses into the freezer.

To make the martini, I poured the Blavod black vodka and Blue Curacao into a shaker half full of cracked ice. I shook this mixture for at least a minute before I added the freshly squeezed lemon juice. I strained the beautifully murky liquid into a hand painted martini glass for each guest and garnished the drink with a small toy rubber shark.
